How to use the StreamSolutions Content Delivery Server.
To use the StreamSolutions CDS you need to use a FTP client to upload content using the details you will be sent when a CDS is purchased.
There are a variety of FTP clients available on the Internet, however all the common web browsers have FTP clients built in, so making it very easy for content to be uploaded without the need to install extra software, however we can not support the numerous FTP clients on the Internet.
When you have purchased a CDS from StreamSolutions you will receive the following information
- Login username ( automatically created ),
- Login password, specified when CDS bought,
- IP address of the CDS server assigned to you,
- Port to connect to when uploading data
To access your CDS space with the above information the following URL can be entered into your browser
ftp://
So for example if your username was test, your password was testpass and the IP address of the host was 10.1.1.1 and the port was 21 the URL would be
ftp://test:testpass@10.1.1.1:21
Now that you are logged in to the CDS space provided you can drag and drop the required MP3 files (Shoutcast/Icecast CDS) or WMV, WMA, WAV, MP3 (Windows CDS) into your space.
The following Khz encoding rates that are supported in the shoutcast icecast cds servers are 8khz, 11.025khz, 16khz, 22.05khz, 24khz, 32khz, 44.1khz, 48khz
